Glass art by Greg Swinburne
Greg left Wanganui in 1981 and returned in 2000 to finish studying. Now residing and working in Wanganui.
Among other things Greg has worked for David Murray and Emma Camden. At present working part-time for Katie Brown. Greg blows glass at either New Zealand glassworks or his own small furnace, and the final cutting, grinding and polishing is done at his Lowther st studio.
At present I am selling work through Form gallery in Christchurch, Real Aotearoa in Wellington, The Poi Room in Auckland, Tennyson gallery in Napier, NZAFA in Wellington, Quadrant gallery in Dunedin, Artform in Matakana, and in Whangarei, Burning Issues.

Big mouth bowl. Approx 150mm h x 150 x 220mm Retail price around NZ$600. These bowls are carved with 4″ spherical wheels and 4′ x 1/2″ convex wheels.
Bronze carved bowl. 120mmh x 210 x 210mm Priced around NZ$500 – $600. Carved with 1/2′ wide convex wheels and 1″ wide u-shaped wheels

Red and pale wine red carved vessels. Various dimensions. Mostly carved with 1/2″ wide convex carving wheels.
Wine red Offering sculpture. 380mm h. Priced around NZ$550- $650. I used diamond saw blades, diamond disks, silicon carbide grits, soft diamond wheels and finally cerium oxide on felt to make this.
